SR PROFILE: Olivia Lambdin: #12, defender

What's your impression of the season thus far?

OL: I think that this year has definitely been the best. Everybody is really close, and we constantly have fun -- while kicking some butt, of course.
What kind of mentality does it take to play defense the way you always have? You seem like such a sweetheart, and then ... boom!
OL: Whenever I play a game, I try to take on an aggressive mentality. Even though I am not exactly the tallest person on the team, I want to prove that my small stature does not mean I can't compete or play as a defender.

What's one of your favorite memories of your LEGS experience over the course of your high school career?
OL: One of my favorite memories of my LEGS experience, probably, has to be beating Southwest this year. The competition between our two schools is fierce and having the win really helped to boost our confidence as we strive towards state.

What's the new assistant coach Emily bringing to the table this year?

OL: To begin with, Emily was a senior during my freshman year. And having her come back is like having her bring back the legacy that LEGS enjoyed during her time (the back to back championships). She is giving our defense tremendous tips which, hopefully, we can utilize to help us climb to state and seek the success that she found during her LEGS experience.

If you were to pick an animal to represent this year's team, what would it be?

OL: I would probably have to choose a snake because it is hidden in its surroundings and is often overlooked. But when it attacks, it can be deadly.

The best post-game celebratory food treat?
OL: It definitely has to be cookie cake!
